Just saw this young artist on the BBC news and was astounded by the ability.... with all thats happening in the world i just thought it was humbling to know that young talent is out there and being recognized.

This young lady has an amazing gift and i just hope she isnt put off by the wrong types who will try and capitalize off her ability. Shes been given such a special gift and i really hope she gets to use it HER way.

Yep, she’s young, no point painting yourself into a corner if she doesn’t want to make it a career.

She'll be fine, she's not in the music business, no big predatory companies ready to sign her up to a 5 album 100 painting deal and get her to give up all ownership rights etc..

She's even said she doesn't want it as a career, I'm sure she'll carry on with it as a hobby/interest though.

Obviously very talented, realism stuff is often pretty mind-blowing. Some of the digital art you can get these days looks almost near identical to a photo unless you zoom in... but even pencil drawings and paintings can be incredibly detailed. Really cool that she's self-taught too. :)

wasn't there some child like half her age who was supposedly doing photo realistic paintings

It isn't entirely unusual for some reason for people to be very capable at painting at a young age but don't really carry the skill into adult life - while not this level I did some painting at junior school which is pretty decent, especially water I could capture well, and I wouldn't even know where to start now.

It's amazing how some people have this ability while most of us don't.

Move over van Gogh, it's van Rroff :)

in the 17th century she would have been called a Rembrandt now in the 21st century she is known as an Epson Expression Home XP-4150.

Art and musical talent are always impressive.

Nice paintings. Also a stroke of genius on her behalf to agree to a BBC interview to let the world know she doesn't really like all the media attention.

Blows my mind how somebody can paint like that when an emoji is a more realistic portrayal of a face than I can manage.

Sadly she says she doesnt want to be a painter and will just do the odd painting as a hobby. Shame really as she is amazing.
