Justifying Apple return

Just out of interest (the answers are going to be fairly predictable to be fair), would everyone return their iPad for exchange if it had one tiny bit of dust under the screen that can only obviously be seen when the screen is off?

Well add to that the black plastic bit at the top of the iPad (3G one) isn't quite flush on one side.... Lol.

Am I just being ridiculous? I think because it was so expensive its bothering me more than it usually would.

How long have you had it?

If you paid a lot and it's not perfect, return or get it replaced by all means!

I would.

Call them first to check, but they nearly always swap out iPhones for dust under the screen problems and I can see them doing the same for the iPad.

Straight exchange for a new unit if you take it to an Apple store too.

Do the apple stores have stock at the moment? Or is it worth waiting a week or so? Cheers guys

Depends on the store, and the model you have.

IIRC they kept a certain allocation for swaps anyway (I had an iPhone swapped on launch weekend, even though they were "out of stock"
