Juventus - what should happen to them?

I'm sure everyone's heard of the allegations surrounding Juventus and how they (and possibly other teams) were involved in the biggest matchfixing scandal since the 1980s (when Milan and Lazio were found guilty and demoted to Serie B).

Since the evidence so far seems clear cut, what do you think should happen to them in terms of punishment? Should they be stripped of their current and last Seria A title? Should they be demoted? Both?

I personally think that stripping them of their title goes too far - no one can know what would have happened if they hadn't fixed some matches in those seasons, they may have won, they may have lost, its impossible to repeat the seasons. However, if found guily, they should definitely be demoted to Serie B (but be allowed to retain their Serie A title), but they should lose their European CL place and be given a hefty fine (millions of euros) - as for Europe and promotion/demotion, the European spot awards would move one place down, and the 17th placed team should be allowed to stay up.

What are your thoughts to this disgraceful episode?

juve and milan will never be demoted to serie b.

they are too big of a club to be demoted.

would chelsea/man utd ever get demoted to the championship of they were guilty of something.

somewhere behind the scenes backs will be scratched

Milan and Lazio got demoted in 1980. :)

Why -21 pts, and not 20 or 22

As for Champions League, would that decision not be with UEFA? Or does the Italian FA have to submit a list to UEAFA about which clubs are entering the CL?

Milan have been in the past.

Juve wont get any punishment. Or if they do it'll be a token one.
Realistically, they should get a large fine, like several million, and a -20 point start for next season. & be stripped of this years and last years titles.

Nout will happen though.
They'll just get a small fine if found guilty.

Whats daft is that Milan have been accused as well, for 3 games where they lost, drew & won. How is that match fixing for Milans favour?

Doesnt suprise me though with Juve. a lot of times this season they've got some very dubious decisions their way that has had a drastic outcome on the result of the match.

nah theyll just get issued with a lowsy £30'000.00 fine.

but I agree that the only way is to deduct points or no europe for 5 years etc money will never hurt them as much as deducting points etc

Well glad the whole board resigned, they have done it before and got away with it. Some say they screwed it up for Milan twice from missing out on the Scudetto and Inter in the 98/99 season.

If they do get a points deduction then their CL place will be thrown in to doubt as well. Probably given some poxy fine.

Juve need sorting and this will be an ideal time. With Capello leaving too (hopefully) someone needs to come in and breathe life into the team. That way Del Piero will stay, as at the moment if Capello stays i cant see Del Piero staying.
