JW-IP35-PRO BIOS update HELP

JW-IP35-PRO

I am trying to update to the latest Bios for this board 1.5

I have followed the instructions found here...

The problem is I do not get any bars with sentances like "Programming Flash Memory that J&W state with there image, I just get "Please Wait"

then.. "Do you want to save Bios" Y/N

I have tried it a it a couple of times but always pressed "N" in case I kill the bios with the wrong procedure.

Has anyone else updated to 1.5 using the software from the J&W site.

If so is it safe to press Yes and save the bios.

I did it in windows and saved it as "oldbios" which worked fine (except it was for the non pro board). i also found the progress bar deceptive and didnt refresh very much (in windows). Dont quote me on this but (as i found out in an ammusing fashion) if you take the battery out for a while after a failed flash it should revert to the original bios..... You also have the PRO version which has dual bios which should be a safty net to this going wrong (i think)

I'm going to give it a go.

I was just hoping that someone else had used the 1.5 updates from the J&W site and had the same problem. I say problem I do not know if there is a problem or not, simply the J&W Flash tutorial does not match what is happing with the BIOS Flash Utility and bin file I downloaded.

Well I gave it a go. Had to use two floppy disks to get all the info on the disks.
Unfortunately the process as mentioned above require that the current BIOS is save first and there's not enough room on the floppy.

Back to sq 1. Well sq 2 actually as I cannot get this board to boot from a USB stick either.

I downloaded the HP bootable stick files most people recommend and added the necessary Bios update files, but the stick just won't be recognised at boot up
