K-Lite Codec Pack

Euu...Use VLC media player, Real and Quicktime Alternative. You shouldn't need to install a single dirty codec from one of those packs :)

Am using VLC, Quicktime and Real Alternative at the moment but would just like to double click an AVI file and for it to open in WMP rather than having to right click>Open with>VLC.

But if codec packs are dodgy then I'll stay with what I have.

Craig.

I know a lot of people that use them quite well, but in my own opinion if a program can open an avi file then i'd use that instead. All down to personal preferance though :)

Its an excellent package, nothing wrong with it at all. Only thing is it install a few things you'll never need. But considering we all have 100's of gigs worth of space. 26 meg really doesn't matter.

I've only got Real & Quicktime Alternative & XviD installed (which plays DivX too, obviously). Never had any files that wmp can't play. Maybe I'm just not adventurous enough, but those three do me just fine.

Guess you don't watch much p0rn then :p

My main reason for wanting to install this codec pack is:

When I convert a video to AVI with that 3GP converter program it doesn't play in WMP which is pretty annoying.

Would be great if anyone knows a single codec that can be installed onto WMP to make it play AVIs created by 3GP converter ?

Thanks,
Craig.
