I have some Arctic P14s and was gonna get an extra P12. Do you know If I could fit them in my K2 Mount Doom? Do they need special mountings?

I heard that 3 fan setup gave even better temps... do you know how I could mount this? / Is it worth the setup as I already have 2x140mm front intake, 2x140mm top exhaust and 1x120mm rear exhaust

I did a comparison aaaaages ago. https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...ling-quest-of-an-accidental-fahnboi.18452595/ Click the 3rd spoiler.
As you can see, it's not really worth bothering with 3 fans. I found the best all round option was to just use a good fan in the middle and leave it at that (Thermalright TY-140 in my case - it has 120mm mounts), although nothing wrong with using two for an extra couple of degrees.

Yo, awesome write up my man!

That single fan setup is unbelievably good. I wanted to buy some taller RAM units so I guess this is a win win!

I always max out RPM on my fans when im gaming anyway. Woulda Arctic P14 be an upgrade over the stock fans?

Cheers.
Dunno about the P14's performance, but you'll need a fan with 120mm mounting holes.
I haven't kept up with this stuff, but I'm pretty sure the Thermalright TY series are still the ones to beat and they worked brilliantly for me.

ED: Just found a pic of my final aircooling setup after going through literally all the options.
They sent me the wrong colour fans  :D

Yep, sorry meant the P12.

I can't find any thermalright ty in stock onocu.. the 140/143/150?

I honestly don't know much about the P12's performance, although I'm sure they're not terrible.
Any decent static pressure oriented 120mm fan will do the job well enough, especially if you're happy to turn them up anyway.

As for the Thermalrights, 147 or 143 IMO.

You can find the 147A and 143 on the rainforest.
Like I say though, you can just use a good 120mm. Maybe an EK Vardar or Corsair ML120 for example? I dunno what's good these days lol.

Yeah IDK if its worth £18 tho lol I like Arctic P12s theyre really underrated.. why won't a normal 140mm work? I thought the supplied fans were 140 - do they have 120mm mounts?

What Uncle Petey said. The difference is mostly at low speeds and usually only 1-2c difference with lower pressure rated vrs higher pressure rated .. usually an extra 100-200rpm in speed lowers temps that much .. and at that low a speed the 100-200rpm increase makes no difference in audible noise coming from system.

Phanteks PH-F140HP II PWM have 105mm mounting holes (120mm fan spacing) as do most Thermalright TY series (Thermalright now makes some square 140mm ones) but I only know of 2 sites selling in UK, and as OcUK does not allow us to post competing sites I can't post them here.

Make sure your case is flowing enough cool air to supply them. Many cases come wihtout enough fans or fans that are almost worthless.
