Just bought a k750i on orange.
Put memory in and formatted. It shows up fine as 50mb but when i plug the usb connector in it changes to 0mb and i have to pop the card out and back in.
Normal or is the card done for?

p.s. i posted this in motors first haha

Now a follow up question.
Removed my phone from the list in the phone monitor options. Now it won't show up again. Is the software s***, or am i doing something wrong?

My k750i does the same with the memory card. When you plug it in, it makes the memory card directly accesable from My Computer rather than through the phone.

Not sure about your other one question though, sorry!

It will do because when you've plugged it into USB you can't access the memory card because the PC is using it. Unplug it, and it will be fine. It's a safety feature to stop the PC and phone writing 2 things at once to the card and screwing it over.

Not quite sure what you're trying to do in the second question- as Six6siX has said, the k750i will come up as a removeable drive in my computer and you can use it to transfer files on and off the phone.

Cheers guys.
I sorted the connection problem.
Still not 100% sure on the memory card though, it does come up as a removable drive and thats fine but why does it not show up in sonys own software? Strange but at least i can access it.
Cheers again for the replys.

I think the Sony software is the only way you can access the phone's built-in (30MB or so?) memory, i.e. where the built in themes, pictures, sounds etc. are stored. The memory stick just shows as a standard drive as you said.

a question about the 750 or 800/810, in the contacts can you add different numbers, eg work/home for a contact?

Yes you can. Also add web address, email address and postal address, and a contact picture.

Another quick K750i question... has anyone found that the joystick sticks? I have had mine since September.

Its really annoying, guess I will have to clean it out, its in a case though so as protected as much as possible - I thought.

Yeah apprently dust gets inside and stops it working properly.

I believe there was a problem with some of the software SE released aswell. i always update my phones regularly when new software revisions come out. I hadnt really connected the 2 (software+knackered joystick) together until i updated last week... now my joystick is almost as good as new!

So update the software... if that fails crack it open and get the duster out :p
