Just got one on a free upgrade with O2, now i was wondering how long i need to charge for the first time as the battery was a good 75% charged when i turned it on.

It has finished charging but when i had other new phones they say leave it on for a good spell, anyone update me on this.

I just left mine charging until the battery bar stopped moving since then I've used it as normal usually letting the battery run down to red(anywhere from 0% to around 20%) which seems to take about 4-5 days if I'm not using it heavily. I don't know what they manual recommends though.

The quick install manual says leave the battery 2.5hrs to be fully charged

The best way to charge the phone is to turn it completely off and wait for 30 seconds then plug the charger in, It will then start charging the phone and wait till it says "Fully Charged".

Thing is because when the phone is off, Nothing is using any power so it's going straight to the battery and you will notice that your phone will keep running for longer aswell.
