Is K10 faster clock for clock vs K8? Benches would say K8 is still faster

Might be mistaken but i think the K10 is faster clock for clock and that is more evident on newer programs. If you want to get a Phenom i would recommend that you wait for the new stepping coming out early 08 that will solve some issues with the architecture and hopefully give a slight boost in performance aswell from what i have read.
Take a trip over to XtremeSystems.org where there is a pretty conclusive thread analysing the difference between K8 and K10.
It indicates that the K10 is anywhere between 5-20% faster than K8 depending on the benchmark; averaging 15-20%.

K10 is absolutely better clock for clock, it's a great development for AMD, bringing them up to par with the Core 2 chips 
They're lacking the fixes and better clock speeds for them to be any kind of alternative, and Intel still has Penryn to beat it, but it's great to have a better starting point
