slightly confused

when i set the CPU clock to 219 i can boot fine, been running the PC like this for ages in games etc...

if i set 1.83 on the memory deivider it says the Memory is running at 400MHz (correct) and the CPU will overclock by 200MHz (Correct)

but when i try and boot the PC up it just freezes at the BIOS and keeps restarting over and over.

so i can run the CPU overclocked by 200MHz without the memory divider but i can't run it overclocked by 200MHz with a memory devider, what the hell is going on.

I'd like to get my CPU back up to 2.6GHz (running stable in my last motherboard)

also on a another note: does anyone know why enableing IDE channels on this motherboard makes the PC run generally slower

I had one and sold it on, because it wouldn't overclock at all. Bios updates made no difference. All the components transfered to an Asus board and overclocked just fine. Go figure.

indeed Im looking to replace my skt939 gigabyte board as soon as I can afford it as the overclocking potential is so limited.

Also having problems with the fact it doesnt have a standard metal backplate to the socket, so I have to pre order one of these from thermalright in order to mount any type of watercooling. :(

You shouldn't need a backplate to mount watercooling.
