Hi all,

My girlfriend has a Ford KA which has 165/65/R13 tyres on it. Now they are coming to the end of their life. Now I have some 165/70/R13 tyres on wheels from my old Corsa with brand new tyres on it.

The question is will these go onto the KA without any problems>?
Thanks

You can change 2 at a time if you want to, nothing wrong with having different profile/section on different axles, as long as both tyres on the same axle match.

Nothing wrong with them, just 10mm taller.

Just change near and off side tyres together. My 1st car had taller profile tyres on the back, never an issue.

From all sources I've read the above is incorrect. They aren't 10mm taller at all -

Random sources said:
This is the height of the tyre sidewall, or section height, expressed as a percentage of the width. It is known as the aspect ratio.

They'll be fine though :)
clicky

You'd probly want to transfer the tyres onto the KA wheels. Corsa wheels will likely have a different offset and/or stud pattern. Also bear in mind the speedo will read differently as the Corsa tyres have a greater circumference. If my sleep deprived brain is working it might actually be more accurate as most speedo's over-read by 5-10%.
