Finally, my favorite asian horror is getting a cinema release over here.

I saw it about 2 years ago on the original Asian release & while it was good I found it a tad over hyped & not quite as scary as Ju-On.

It was jumpy in places but just not scary enough.

I don't feel its a "jump" film though.
The horror is never sprung on you.
Ju-on was damn scary (not the american tripe) but Kairo haunted me for weeks after I saw it

I did have some issues with the Internet for a week or so after watching it

I think I expect anything from the Asian horror side now to be as scary as Ju-on & I dont really think anything will come close.

That film seriously freaked me out...but damn its a great film

Have you seen the 2 original TV movies for Ju-On yet??

I still have issues with looking at a turned off monitor, thinking I'm gonna see something spooky

I haven't really seen much to rival Ju-on in the scary stakes and I haven't seen the TV movies either. I'd like to though.
Even though most "made for TV" stuff tends to be about as scary as a kitten.

I know what you mean about the turned off monitor...especially late at night after a few beers

The 2 TV movies are easily on a par with the movies in the scare stakes :eek:

They actually help to flesh out the story a bit over the 2 Grudge movies as well with more background on the events surrounding the house & why its cursed.

These are easily all the scariest movies I've ever seen.
