Kandalf LCS case and Socket 1366 problem

Hi

Can anyone tell me what i need to adapt my cpu water block to fit on a X58 motherboard. The only things i got with my case was for a Socket 775 board. Any advice most appreciated

You will need a 1366 mounting plate for the cpu. If there is one available that is.

I am sure if you google thermaltake parts uk you will find a website that does parts for thermaltake that sells a bracket to upgrade their lcs systems to fit lga1366.

They charge a very reasonable £7.99

well.....I have found what i need to get my waterblock to fit....now i am wondering if I can actually fit it to this motherboard...I have noticed a back plate on it where i need to seat the retaining adapter....does anyone know if it will do any harm if i put it over this plate?

yeah its fine, backplate is optional anyway, just allows more torque on the nuts
