Kane & Lynch: Dead Men-anyone else like it?

As I said earlier in the thread, I went out and rented it. Only to find that I got it for my Birthday today! I've almost completed it playin on the rental... I'm tempted to trade it in for Call of Duty 4.

Had a quick go of this game at my mates on his PS3, wasnt impressed at all with the graphics or the aim when shooting.

Just felt awful.

The shooting (and infact most parts of the game) falls below that seen in the best examples of the genre. Kane & Lynch falls some way below the best shooters around today, and it's definately not the game you would want to use if you were showing someone what shooters are all about.

It is however an enjoyable game for people who are already fans of shooters and want something alternative to play. Even then not all will stick with it, but like most things if you're willing to give it a fair chance then you'll probably have a good time with it.

I picked it up in the sales, enjoyed it, sure the aiming is a bit wonky in place and it does not register your actually hitting a guy even though your crosshairs are on their head :) but other than that really enjoyed it, nice story, not the hardest game though, finished it on hard fairly easily, went through it again on co-op as Lynch which was fun too :D

I bought it.
Its a good game in my opinion, bit on the short side(can be completed in an afternoon)

Online play is pretty good too(when Live actually works, lol)

That would be a very wise decision, call of duty 4 is at the top end of it genre :)

Oh hello. :D

Pretty much same experience I had with it. Got hold of it cheap and actually enjoyed it quite a bit once I got into it. Had a quick go on MP and that seems ok too.

Kinda OT, but can anyone with the PS3 version confirm if you can Invert up/down axis in the full game as you can't in the demo and thats whats putting me off :)

Thanks

On the full game you can invert both axis and even swap sticks, but cant redifine the controls, but there are 2 different control schemes.

Just finished it today got it on rental, enjoyed it to be honest, going to play the last bit just to get other ending. Wasnt the best game ive played, but it had its moments just that some wasnt carried out the well and the graphics are pretty average. Not tried the MP, probably wont but its not as bad as some reckoned a pretty average team based shooter all in all though. The aiming seemed to improve as the game went on (unless i just got used to it), but it wasnt that bad that it detracted from the game.
