Karaoke machine recommendations?

I used to love singstar. It's dated now.

I do have a laptop, but would prefer something I can plug into my TV and have 1000's of song videos to watch on screen. Want to buy for the family rather than myself, I'm tone death!

Any ideas?

I bought a Bluelaser Karaoke USA for her kids a few years ago. It worked well and had lots of songs. Everyone had lots of fun nights with it. It is probably a bit dated now with DVD tech and it sits sadly in the corner, gathering dust.

Interested in the responses to this. The Grand Videoke machines look good but no hands on experience with them.
