Karcher K7 Query

Hi all. Just bought a used K7.
Two questions.....
1. When using the Dirt Bister attachment, the unit sprays for a couple of seconds, then stops. Does this repeatedly, when consistent intervals. Is this normal? It's quite frustrating.
2.
When using the standard nozzle attachment, the pressure seems very very low when turned to "Soft". Almost like the water is not being pressurized. It's great when set on "Hard". Is this normal?

probably the pressure relief valve / bypass valve that needs a clean - it recirculates water when spray is off,
it probably needs a clean/vinegar & regrease

Sorry to disagree with the previous reply - but in my experience the most likely issue is just an airlock. Cheapest to check and fix too. Basically just run some water through it for a good couple of minutes without the high pressure hose attached.
