karma?

This, at the very most, is two events that happened in your life, related only by the fact they happened in the same day.

I only ever turn it off if I purposely want to slide the back out.

Which,I think, was the OP's initial big idea.

Why else would you turn it off, in the wet, & then give it a bit on a roundabout?

Karma? More like Kermit!

I'm not getting the link between feeding a hungry dog and having an accident?

Also - you went for a jog and driving home from said jog had an accident?

+ the peculiar turning TC off in the wet.

 @ general oddness.

It's not Karma, but hopefully a lesson learnt.

Driving too quickly / beyond your abilities = repair bill. Doing this in built up areas = potentially an injured pedestrian.

It's not all bad though - perhaps this will have saved you from a more serious accident in the future?

May I also suggest some driving instruction on a skid pan or on a track? So many people crash when the back end steps out on their car totally uncessarily. If you'd not done anything at all, there is a good chance the car would have corrected itself, so often people wind on loads of opposite lock and end up spearing off the road in the other direction causing twice the damage they would have done otherwise! Leaving the traction control on might have helped you in this instance - but it won't always save you but some instruction/training might!

Good luck with the repairs

So not like Karma that it would have been closer to actual Karma if you had been on the way to the local Indian for a mild creamy takeaway..
