Black Delta CEO Zach Griffin promised fans a first glimpse of the game in action using the Unreal 4 game engine, and although admittedly rather short in length, and somewhat lacking in content, the video has arrived!

Expected to be released as a Steam Early Access title sometime in Q1 2016.

Edit

I'm sure I've seen this posted before but a search didn't reveal anything. If this is a duplicate then please delete

Well that video really showed us a lot huh :D!

I don't buy early access games any more but will keep my eyes on it for full release. Interesting to see a sim??? game built around karts instead of them being a afterthought.

An old thread but the early access is now live and I wondered if anyone had tried it yet? (especially in VR?)

Same has anyone tried it yet? Early access on steam videos look pretty good but didn't want to drop £16 on it yet

If you want the perfect drive of a kart then KartKraft is that game. It's unbelievably tactile which in turn flows perfectly through your hand eye co-ordination, you feel it in the way you grip your wheel like your driving an actual kart. In VR the visuals are in my opinion the best of any racing game in terms of crispness and clarity, which compliments the physical feedback you get from the ride and why I probably wax lyrical about the game more than it deserves.

The downside is the game and the limited development. The AI is next to useless, they will drive right through you on the racing line, which is the only line to be on if you wish to keep up. There's no multiplayer (yet) and only 4 tracks with time trials and limited unlocks. Compared to any of karts I've raced in VR in Assetto and PC2, KartKraft blows them away in terms of the experience.

Hard to recommend, but if money isn't an issue and you want the best kart experience then £16 gives you that, but you'll see PC2 around the same price on sale that gives you karts:/

I agree with loKiss that Kartkraft does seem to simulate driving a kart very well and the modelling of PFI, a circuit I know very well, is superb and accurate.
I haven't played it in a few weeks, but the problem for me last time I tried it was that I couldn't change the tyres or kart setup. I found the kart would handle great for the first few laps and then it would start to go off.
