My Kasperskey Internet Security subscription runs out in a few days.

Im thinking of either renewing Kas or possibly changing to ESET.

Just wondering which is the best to go for out of ESET/NOD or Kasperskey.

Used Kaspersky in the past and gone back to it, bought the 3 user license from here for £14.94 ~, so far very happy :)

As above, £14.99 for 3 full internet security licenses is the bargain of the year imo esdpecially when you consider how good it is.

I got my kaspersky 3 user sub for free!! hehe Kaspersky is ace, no false postivies. Tried the NOD32 trial but it BSOD'd upon bootup on vista 64bit.

Kaspersky in real world use I have found it to remove more than Nod 32 and offers better prevention

The 2009 v8 Kaspersky products are light weight thou Nod is lighter again but assuming your running a modern pc you wont see much difference.

My kaspersky ran out last month and i tried a trial of NOD32 and it also crashed on vista 64, the only piece of software ive ever had problems with actually :p

Im using Avast! right now until i buy kaspersky again.

I've got Kaspersky atm and am very happy with it, it has Spybot S&D's useful feature of user confirmation while installing programs and what not. If you're a Barclays online customer you can get it for free.

and I have not had 1 virus on my PC.

This really doesn't strike me as a good argument, afterall how do you tell you have a virus unless the AV picks it up, assuming its not one that makes popups flash and wipes your hard drive :P

Another vote for NOD32. And if you're a student, or know someone who is, email their sales team and you can get a student license for cheaper. It needs a .ac.uk email though.

tbh you wont go wrong with either..I use NOD but if I had Kas installed I would stick with that..swings and roundabouts et al!

did you use the 64bit version?
was running kaspersky but found it was slowing my system down
so i moved to nod
nod(64 bit version) running fine here on vista 64bit

I'd go for Nod32 - their support has been excellent (I had a crashing problem on Vista when it first came out and they sent a custom build over to me).

Also, you can run the Kaspersky online scanner every now and then as a double safeguard.

NOD32 would be my preferred AV, but Kapersky is also a very good AV, and is my second recommendation.

If you do online banking with barclays (?) I am lead to believe that you can get Kapersky free.
