Kaspersky Memory Leak

Well I decided to run a virus scan and it got to around 96% then decided to leak RAM like no other.

I was browsing/had Outlook open but surely this shouldn't change it unless it's altering the state of files. But even then...
 
Can't help you on the Kaspersky front as I'm a devoted NOD32 disciple, but that's another thread! :p

However can I suggest using something like Process Monitor to see what Kaspersky was/is handling and then try and isolate that file(s)?
 
Well Kaspersky says that everything is protected so I'm sure if a virus was about it would alert me.
 
Lol OK. Tried the virus scan again but with Outlook closed? Just to eliminate that as a problem? I assume you probably have but if not I'm not passing up this chance to be patronising! :D
