My activation code has just arrived.

you can install this software on up to 3 PCs in your home

Purely hypothetical... If I install this on 4 PCs and take them all online, what will happen? Does it 'phone home' to keep count?

If I reimage / reinstall, I just enter this activation code and it will work?

I have installed mine on 3 PC's and a laptop at home and 6 months down the line I have had no problems.

Reported to teh polize.

Nothing really to add, I'm guessing the 3 pc guys have Barclays to thank for them. Just installed the 2010 version onto my PC and laptop the other day. Looks to be running much lighter than the previous one that seemed to get bloaty towards the end.

What is there a new version of this this then /goes off to have a lookie/ :)

EDIT: Just had a look, can only see KIS 2009 which is what I'm using.

Busted :o:D

I probably only got away with it as they all run off the same IP.

Using 2010 here. Kaspersky employees told me not to worry if I need to activate "regularly", as they take account of the fact people need to reinstall or may be testing like me... :o Take that as you will. Running with no issues here, 2009, 2010 AND the Win7 beta versions lol

BTW, OEM licenses for 3x PCs are only about £15 at OcUK - and that's for the full KIS suite. Just the AV is even cheaper! Why skimp? :D
EDIT: HERE.

if anyone who using KAV/KIS 2006 with older activation code then need to email Kaspersky Helpdesk and they will send you new one and they change to 2007 for support form 2007 to 2010 but not from 2006 with older code - they changed new format to replace old 20 digit numbers into new format - I send my older code to them and they replaced with new one and im now KIS 2010 and will renew from AUgust 2009 with 2 more years, look nice features,etc..

Good luck with that, Kaspersky has a habit of getting programs out swiftly for market placement, then fixing it after, took them 18 months to eliminate all the vista64bit network driver issue they had, amonsgst the bluescreen issues. Didn;t affect a lot of folks, but those it did it nailed badly.

If running 2009, wait. Wait until 2010 is sorted, its the same engine and the same definitions anyway.

if anyone who using version 7 or later then it will be fine to update v2010 with same activation code but not from 2006 with older code

1) older code or from 2006 version then send Kaspersky helpdesk with your old activation code and tell them and then they will send you new one plus new personal cabinet ID and password and download version 2010 (459) and install

2) from 2007 to 2009 then can update to v2010 with same licence code - it wont problems
