Kaspersky Package ?

Hi All

My Anti Virus Subs run out on laptop in 2 weeks and I have been thinking about getting the full Home Kaspersky security package. That includes AV, Firewall and anti spam.
Anybody used this package and what do you think of it ??? ( firewall mainly :confused:

). I have used the Anti Virus before on my desktop and been very happy with it

I used Kaspersky internet security 6 until today. It was the firewall that got me most annoyed, EVERYTIME i tried to play CSS or DOD it would pop up and say that the hl.exe had been changed and i had to click accept and maximize that game again, but when i mazimized the game the sound would be messed up because of it

. Ive looked on the Kaspersky forums and it seems it just one of the things you have to put up with.
I ditched it today and got Comodo Firewall instead its free and ive ran some leak tests and its great

I ditched the Kaspersky firewall for similar reasons.

never had problems with kaspercy firewall.
Been running the Kasbersky IS 6 for a while now.
Aslong as you forwad your game app/ports etc its fine.
I game a lot, and never really get pop ups when I played CSS.

If your not trying to play games online, as I wont be, because it will be on my laptop. Is it an alright Firewall???

Yeah mate, it will be fine for what you need! Hell its fine for what most people need, its one of the best out there, you will have fun with this baby

Kaspersky firewall i found is pretty good and does what its told to do, just dont turn all the application sensing stuff on it it behaves. only issue is that it blocks me a little from opening the router settings page.

comodo im using atm isnt bad but i dont know how much longer i can put up with its nagging. dissabling the block ports function is the first thing i did and gets stuff working. this is a neccessary step as even fully allowing an app, it would allow all ports to work with it. and was a pain in the rear to scan the logs to find which port was actually wanted since the logs dont actually list the exe wanting the port.

another serious flaw of comodo is that it too needs a lot of its application sensing dissabled, just how many times have i got to say allow svhost and explorer full access. and if explorer does get oppened by an app, it reports the previous application before it opened explore as apposed to the prog im currently using that i told to open it.

im sure ill be back to kaspersky is6 before long as its just a much nicer implimentation. just a problem with kaspersky not sitting nice with a ms critical update atm which stops some games/apps running.
