Kaspersky Question?

My work are giving us Kaspersky for FREE to use on our home pc's, not sure why but i'm not complaining, but anyway.

I'm currently using Avast, but has anyone got or used Kaspersky? and is is any good/better than the free Avast?

I have heard very good things about it but i'm at work at the mo and our internet is very resricted so cant do any looking up on it!

i dont find either of them to be good but they seem to come highly recommended.

I have Kaspersky Anti virus on my PC and have had no problems with it.. had had it since I built it in August 2007 and it has done a very good job in my opinion! Not sure if that helps you though!

because my little monitor lights are showing constant activity yet there should be none.
double clicking on them shows a constant stream of data coming in and going out.

i run spybot - finds nothing
i run kasperspy - finds nothing
i run avg - finds nothing

just enabling peerguardian shows different ips connecting to my comp.

clearly ive either been hacked or installed something dodgy..its a fairly new install of windows too.

well ive just reinstalled windows and all is fine again.

*edit* i installed avg not avast...my bad
