Kaspersky will not finish!

I've tried scanning my computer multiple times to no avail.

Kaspersky gets to about 96% and then decides to eat all of my RAM making my PC totally unusable.

I'm tempted to download avast! and disable KAV whilst it scans and then uninstall it. It's a royal pain the ****!

I've used PROCMON but it doesn't show anything out of the ordinary.

The fact that its stalling perhaps indicates the presence of something sinister. I'd disable KAV, download and deploy Avira AntiVir and see what it comes up with. You could also try Malwarebytes while your at it.
