http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...&name=Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 - OEM (1 User)

I was thinking of getting this and it seems so much cheaper than everywhere else, is this because it includes a shorter license period or something? Will I be elligible for a years worth of updates using this.

I'm not sure what exactly the implications of OEM software are, my understanding is that it only will allow one install?

Thanks.

It's cheap because its just the anti-virus (not Internet Security) and it's the OEM edition.

Barclays give Kaspersky IS out for free if you're with them.

I bought the internet security package a few weeks ago and it updates every day, The cd comes in cardboard sleave.

I think it is tide to the pc you acvtivated on, if you changed your pc it may not allow you to re-activate.
I have reinstalled the software twice on my desktop and HTPC and reactivated without any problem (no hardware changes)

its exactly the same product.

the reason its cheaper is because its an OEM product. which technically is meant to be sold to go with new computers or other hardware

bargain of the century

Thanks, will order this one then.

Have used trend micro's 'pc-cillin' for about 15 years, but i got a bad virus which pc-cillin failed to detect, i had to rely on kasperskys products to remove the virus, so im switching to them.
