Hi Guys

Bought myself a very cheap 1999 Ninja ZX7R, it's currently Silver and Black however it looks like the previous owner has painted parts themselves and the quality is not very good!

The bike is at the bodyshop at the minute and I'm going to have the whole thing painted, however I'm stuck with what colour scheme I go for.

The usual green and black? Or my own custom scheme?

The frame is grey and the wheels are black, I was thinking of getting the fairings done white and the wheel covers black and maybe even one of the rear fairings white, what do you reckon?

Thanks

Personally ide put it back to stock, mainly because some insurance companies can bump your premium just on the strength of the fact its custom painted, & selling it on at a later date could be a hassle because it's painted to your taste, which others may not share.

& theres nothing quite so soul destroying as dropping a custom painted bike ( i speak from personal experience on that score ) :(

Stock looks terrible though, and the guy who had spoiled it further by putting yellow stickers all over it!

:)

polish the wheels - cheap and easy to do with some autosol and some wet n dry- just time consuming!

spray the fairing bright green as ALL kwaks should be!

take everything off it and polish the frame too! :)

Come on. How good does that look :D

The ZX7R is a great looking older bike, but it just doesn't suit modern spray jobs. Embrace the retro style ;)

It's been and had a White with Black on the rear done...

Just waiting for it to come back!
