KB4056897 Windows 7 patch

Hi,

Has anyone experienced with any freezing or crashes after installing this patch for meltdown?

Since installing it, my Windows has frozen twice (once a day) randomly. It's a bit of a coincidence as it's generally very stable. I did have Virtualbox with a VM running at both times when my PC crashed and when didn't have a VM running, it was rock solid.

What's your experience?

Ive not had any issues since installing the patch on Win 7, all fine.

Seen reports elsewhere of people having problems since updating to it but no idea of the scope and how much might be user error, etc.

There is a lot of potential for conflicts with things like anti-virus or anti-cheat programs, etc. that might be doing low level stuff and quite likely where the freezes or BSODs, etc. are coming from.

Mine just refuses to install that rollup, it fails every time and sits on configuring windows update 0% complete until it times out and hits the login screen.

Ive had issues since installing that (freezes, fail to boot). Im very tempted to uninstall it.
