Hi Everyone. I am using windows 7 pro-64bit

It has been working flawlessly for the past few months until SOMEBODY (not me) decided to install some software on it without telling me. Now windows update keeps bugging me with the KB954430, which according to my history, had been installed ages ago already.

No matter how many times i install it, it just wont go away. After googling, i used the 'windows install cleanup' tool to remove it then try to manually install it (as an admin) but the following message appears

And windows update is still bugging me about it. But this time it fails when i try to install it. Help please

I think the solution is something along the lines of - search for msxml4.dll (probably in system32 folder) and rename to msxml4.old.

Not sure if there are more than 1 instance of the file since it's 64bit windows. Maybe not.

Used to get that a few times in the Vista days.
