I wanted to try a tiling window manager to see if it was right for me but didn't want to go through the hassle of something like Hyprland because of the time cost for a simple quick trial. So I ignored them until I came across a video saying someone has forked Krohnkite for KDE Plasma 6. A quick trip to the AUR later and it's an easy install and integrated well. It's easy to disable via KWin and also configured via KWin/global shortcuts in the gui which was another hurdle for a quick trial.

If you're in the same boat as me then I can highly recommend it. I'm currently going through the config to add floating exceptions and see what the options there are. Anyone have any twm tips?

Nothing for your specific one, I'm still on X with i3 on Debian, and even i3 on OpenBSD so I'm stuck in the late 90s in terms of releases - but I would suggest looking at things like vimify plugins for your browsers etc, so that you can truly enjoy the mouse-free experience.

It turns out that tiling window managers are not for me. Glad I used this to check because going through creating a Hyprland config would have been such a waste of time.

Yeah they're not for everyone - it takes quite a while to get used to them - I kept GNOME installed when I was learning i3 for a while, so that when I got annoyed at it I could change back to a normal one. Now I struggle to use GNOME.
