True that. Southerners really can't cook a good fish 'n' chip.
My brother in law took me to some place in London to grab something to eat for lunch, it was filled with Islamic/Arabic people, so some of you lot would probably steer well clear of it

I miss the east coast, white puddings are near impossible to find in these parts

People up north do tend to make these claims - since I moved from Harlow, I've been taken to chip shops about a dozen times around the northeast coastline after being promised the "best fish and chips in the world" - not once have they been any better than those on offer at home.
meh, it depends on the place, some kebab shops that are dives and some that serve very good quality meats.
Fish and Chips are win up north, I went to Whitby and had fish and chips, amazing but it helps when the chip shop is 20 yards from the harbour.
