Hello,

My parents live in North West Wales and want to change to a cheaper ISP. They're currently with AOL which costs them £25 a month.

They don't download an awful lot, just some pictures from friends so i thought i'd suggest BT as it costs £7.50 a month for the first three months then goes up to 15.99 a month with an 18 month contract. It has a 5GB monthly download limit but i can't imagine they'd get anywhere near that. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Almost forgot the question i meant to ask in the first place:D

When an AOL account is closed what happens to the email address'? Do they get closed down with the account? Please tell me they don't!?

You get to keep it, I left AOL a few years back but still use the same address :)

Basically when they close your net access the do the same with your email address but what you do is log into aol.co.uk enter you details into the screen name signing box it will say would you like to reopen and keep this email address, it did with mine and it still does.

Hope that helps.

Just checked and it's not available sadly. I don't think they have an awful lot of choice as they're out in the sticks. BT looks the cheapest option but has a very long contract.
