Keep E6600 or buy E21*0

Hi people!
I've just upgraded from my E6600 to Q6600 and I'm wondering what to do with the E6600.
I am am planning on a mega-tight budget pc for basic net stuff and to use as a test machine for when I'm building pc's.
Should I keep and use my spare E6600? Or flog it, and buy a low-end C2D E21*0? I'm wanting to keep this as cheap as poss, so if I did sell the E6600 and bought an E21*0 the I should have a couple of quid in my pocket, or are these E6600's not worth much these days? Ta

The E6600 is still £140 ish, so i'd probably sell it, it all depends on how much you'd want to spend on the rest of the build around the E66?

Yeah, id sell the e6600. I bought a e2180 for £40 and got it runing at the same stock speed as your e6600 with EASE. Imo best £40 i ever spent. I now have a proccessor worth £100..

Thanks guys, it's going to be a budgte set-up, prob with on-board graphics, so sound slike I'd be best sellinf the E6600, any preference on which E21*0 ??

Probably the E2180, should be easy enough to hit 3.0Ghz with a decent cooler (Air...TT120 maybe).

My E2180 does 3ghz on stock volts and cooling, i will eventually push further once i get a new heatsink.

The E2180's are ridiculously good value. I just moved from an Opteron 165 to one of them and am currently running at 3.2 with 1.4v and 58 under load. Remarkable for the money really.
