Hi people!
I've just upgraded from my E6600 to Q6600 and I'm wondering what to do with the E6600.
I am am planning on a mega-tight budget pc for basic net stuff and to use as a test machine for when I'm building pc's.
Should I keep and use my spare E6600? Or flog it, and buy a low-end C2D E21*0? I'm wanting to keep this as cheap as poss, so if I did sell the E6600 and bought an E21*0 the I should have a couple of quid in my pocket, or are these E6600's not worth much these days? Ta

Yeah, id sell the e6600. I bought a e2180 for £40 and got it runing at the same stock speed as your e6600 with EASE. Imo best £40 i ever spent. I now have a proccessor worth £100.. :)

Thanks guys, it's going to be a budgte set-up, prob with on-board graphics, so sound slike I'd be best sellinf the E6600, any preference on which E21*0 ??

My E2180 does 3ghz on stock volts and cooling, i will eventually push further once i get a new heatsink. :)

The E2180's are ridiculously good value. I just moved from an Opteron 165 to one of them and am currently running at 3.2 with 1.4v and 58 under load. Remarkable for the money really.
