Hey all

Here is why im asking a question such as this.

I have been told recently that my boton Two Spinel Disks are dammaged and i cant sit at the pc for more then 40 mins at a time... And not to twist my neck or back to much.

With eyefinity i have to move my head a lot dueing games and when useing them for uni work...

I love haveing 3 monitors, they are Perfect BUT my back and neck are hurting!

I cant just use one of my 24"'s on there own but i feel i can use a 30" at a much higher res.

I currently have 2x Dell 2408WFPb's and a HP 2475W

Im thinking that if i sell all three of these i could purchase a nice Dell 30" IPS monitor or Spva monitor.
The res is 2x HD anyway so its Plenty of room for my Uni work and would look stunning for games.

Please help me out... Im in a real dilemma.......

Im thinking i could get £250 each for my Dell's and £300 for the HP so i would have £800 im sure i could add £200 ontop.. so a Max of £800-£1000 please on a 30"

Considered running your monitors in portrait mode? That'd reduce the amount of panning you'd have to do.

Just a small point... but how far away from your new 30" monitor will you have to or plan to sit?

Have you tried repositioning yourself relative to your present eyefinity setup?. I find that at the moment I'm sat just to close to mine and I'm getting a deeper depth desk for Crimbo as a remedy :)

Im about 1.5foot from my screens.

My desk is Simply not deep enough for my tripple monitor stand.

Would love a new desk but my wife said no as i have a perfectly good one as it is... plus i just spent £800 on a new mountain Bike :/

Im going to put them in portrate mode for abit and see how it goes. :D

Your wife said no? Doctors orders come first. You have a medical reason and a new desk is cheaper than a decent 30" monitor.

Which is the best 30" then? Can't spend over a grand

You'll struggle. Only the LGW3000H fits into that bracket, and that's a good few years old.

The HP ZR30W comes in at around £1050 though, and is a brand new high-end screen (same panel as the Dell3011). See here for more details. It doesn't have the "bells and whistles" of the Dell, in terms of outputs and scaling features, but this allows for the greatly reduced input lag, which will be handy during gaming.

problem is the desk i want wont fit in the office :/ and costs £290 which is more then the spending i woul dneed to get the 30".

Its ok in portrate mode at the moment, if i get over the bezels i will stick with it if not then i will buy the 30"
