Hi folks,

Hope you can offer some suggestions for a problem thats bugging me...

With my wireless network I regularly get momentarily disconnected. The only reason I notice is because web browsing stops for perhaps a min and MSN will reconnect me. Is this a common issue with wireless networks? If so, what are some ways to prevent/reduce the frequency of the disconnections?

Cheers,

Andrew

try another chan, maybe the signal is being interfeared with by another device (cordless phones a fave) I've found that it can be nearly anything (mobile phone in just the wrong spot) and also totaly random (but only when its checking for signal etc) hence my hate for wireless networks as a whole.
what wireless router you using and what card, also are you running windows XP or what?

yep, i get the same problem mate on our laptop :(

i have wireless internet on my pc, which is fine most of the time, but i am using a belkin adaptor, it sometimes disconnects but i have combatted that by buying myself a ethernet cable and its perfect :D

im sure its the wireless cards that come in laptops thats the problem, just buy a ethernet cable off ebay for £6 or so and it will be fine, or buy a usb adaptor if you still want wireless :)
