Keep getting timed out from BF3

Sometimes it takes 10 seconds, 10 minutes or a couple of hours but every time I play BF3 I get timed out eventually.

I've disabled UPnP in Windows, my modem and my router. Also disabled SSDP discovery and turned off network discovery, hasn't made any difference what-so-ever.

So any ideas how to fix this? Thanks
 
It's a well known bug in BF3 that it does not work with uPNP enabled routers, it must be off. Doesn't matter what Windows has it set to though.

This should be in the already existing BF3 thread..
 
Didn't put it in the BF3 thread as figured it would get lost in there.

Found this thread which says opening DMZ will leave my computer open to the internet? So there'd be an increased chance of hackers/viruses? (I'm a networking noob BTW).

yeah but for a short time in order for you to test whether its your own network shouldn't be a problem
 
Also having these problems.

'Disconnected from server' and 'Server timed out' every 10/20 mins.

Disabled upnp, done the port forwarding as is reccommeneded.

No change.

Brand new PC built partialy for BF3 and I cant get it to run for more than 30 mins. :mad:
