Keep getting Windows update error 800f0900

Hi, i constantly keep getting the windows update error 800f0900 all the time, i have tried multiple things to try and fix it, i have tried different windows fix it's, i have tried stopping the service and deleting everything from the windows > softwaredistribution folder to try and hard reset windows update but nothing works, everytime i click scan for updates it pretty much immediately goes straight to that error.

Can anyone help please?

I am using windows 7 64bit.

Let it do the registry backup, system restore point etc. When you get to the actual program itself, uncheck all options, then select Windows Updates from the list down the left and hit go. Reboot and try updates again.

Usually sorts most windows updates issues for me.
