I have a virgin media superhub 2 in modem mode pair up with a Linksys EA6900 which i use for wireless connections. I keep getting instances where i wont have an internet connection and in order for me to get the internet up and running again i have to log into my Linksys and release and renew the IPv4 address. Any ideas why i keep having to do this?

Im guessing that's 'Client lease time' in the DHCP options?, if so its currently set to 1440 minutes

The client lease time setting you're referring to will apply to the client devices connected to the LAN side of the router.

This sounds more like an issue with the WAN side connection.

It's difficult to be certain with the limited information provided.

Ok thanks, what other information do you need to know?

Sorry for the late reply.

Ive not always had this issue, probably been happening for the last 10 month or so ive just put up with it and didnt think much to it, but the last week its happened 3 time in the space of about 10 days, it always seems to happen sometime in the night as ill wake up and notice theres no internet connection on my mobile phone. This is the setting i change....

the release and renew on the iPv4.

The setup i have is the Virgin Media Superhub in modem mode which has a Linksys EA9600 connected to if for wireless and then i also have a ASUS RT-N56U router connected to the Linksys (via a super long CAT5 cable) that is down stairs for wireless downstairs and the garden. These are the IP address for these 3 device...

Superhub2 192.168.100.1
Linksys 192.168.1.1
ASUS 192.168.1.2

I was under the impression that the superhub should be on a completely different subnet to the Linksys and Asus??
