Keep installed programmes while re-installing vista?

i want to change from 32 to 64 bit vista but dont want to looses all installed files and settings, is there any way of doing this? or do i have to go through installing it all again and setting everything up? i dont need to wipe the hdd to get rid of a virus if that helps

You need to do a complete re-install.
