I have an Asus T100 laptop/netbook thingy. Its quite old but its got Windows 10 running on it.

I'd like to keep it:
- always on and logged in (will be plugged into mains)
- always connected to WIFI (so I can Remote Desktop to it)
- screen off

What settings/things to do I need to do to achieve this?

Right click the start menu flag and choose 'Power Options'.
Under the heading 'Screen' reduce the minutes to a small amount.
Under the heading 'Sleep' choose 'Never'.

If you don't have those 2 options on the simplistic power options screen then select 'Additional power settings' on the right of this screen. In the window that opens there's an option on the left 'Choose when to turn off the display'.

Also, when you have the above Power Options window open showing the 'Choose or customise a power plan' heading. You should check the 'Change plan settings' link and then 'Change advanced power settings'. This step allows you to change things like not turning off the hard drive after so many minutes.

Assuming the laptop is going to be plugged in on charge although I doubt that will do it a lot of good long term.

Also right click on the desktop and select 'Personalise' then on the window that opens, select 'Lock screen' from the left menu. Then select the 'Screen saver settings' at the bottom of the Lock screen settings window. On the 'Screen Saver Settings' dialog window check whether you have 'On resume, display log-on screen' unset.
