Roughly every other evening my connection goes down, for 10 mins to half an hour. When this happens I reboot my router and restart my computer and eventually it'll start working again.

I'm wondering if it is my router or my isp? When I open a new internet explorer page when the connection is down it gives me the option to diagnose a connection problem, it comes back with: The DNS server isn't responding.

Here is a screen grab of my router status whilst it stopped working and as you can see it says connected but it most definitely isn't, chrome, IE, email, Bit Torrent, nothing will connect.

Is it new router time or time for a new ISP? My ISP is homecall.

Firstly you might want to edit out your IP details from the image above. You never know who's looking.

Could you post up your line details i.e. SNR, etc. Are you a fair distance from your telephone exchange? Theses may give an indication of where the issue lies.

Home call is now owned by TALKTALK it is far from unknown for routers to go down and then rise again with them. They are cheap and you would have to decide how much good BB is worth to you before changing. Also who else on your exchange has their own equipment installed. It always pays to have a backup router such as a Netgear bought cheaply second hand - this can be used for testing purposes as BT charge big money to come out when its your side of the fence

Thanks for the info so far, here's some more info.
I wonder if I should just go with another provider?
