Keep losing network connection in Windows 11 Pro

I've posted this here as I'm not sure whether this is a hardware issue or a software issue.

I've got a PC that I built a couple of years back. Intel 12th Gen with a Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite DDR4 board. The motherboard has a Realtek 2.5Gb Lan Port. The PC is running Windows 11 Pro. The PC is on our company domain and has our Windows server as its DNS server.

I also have a USB wifi dongle as one of our machines needs a direct wifi connection to the PC via the Windows Hotspot feature.

Ever since I built the PC, I have had issues where I'll come to work and the PC will have lost its internet connection. It doesn't always lose the connection to the server shares but often it does. When this happens, I end up having to reboot the PC to get connection again, then its fine for a few days before it does the same thing again. Occasionally, I can connect to the companies wifi and get internet access back (and access to the server shares) but this doesn't always work and only ever works for a few minutes before losing connection again.

I thought about buying a PCIe 2.5Gb Intel NIC but the more I think about it, the more it feels like a software issue. What makes it worse is my wifes work PC is identical and she doesn't have any issues.

Any thoughts/ideas would be hugely appreciated.

Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been waiting for the issue to pop up again so I can look in the event viewer.

There are a few things that crop up when the PC seems to lose its connection:

1. The RPCService service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 10 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 2000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

2. A request to allocate an ephemeral port number from the global UDP port space has failed due to all such ports being in use.

Following the above two, there are a few alerts about group policies failing because it can't contact the domain controller.

There are no hardware errors coming.
