Hi people,

I've been out of the PC building game for a while but I've been offered a new set up for a reasonably cheap price!

Would I notice any difference going from my current set up:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.4
AB9 QuadGT Motherboard
3 GB DDR2 Memory
Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX

to this.......

Twin Dual Core XEON 3.20 GHz - Ht shows eight cpu's in device Manager •
2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU @ 3.20GHz•
500 GIG SATA HARD DRIVE,
4GB RAM Fast Quad Channel 4X 512mb STICKS
256MB Nvidia Quadro 3500 Pci Express Graphics Card

I will be using it more for AutoCAD and design software along with the odd game every now and again i.e. CS:Source etc.

Thanks a lot.

John

Great spec, but I would go with at least 16gb RAM for what you are looking to use it for.

Not sure about the graphics card, but here is a first hit:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus Z9PE-D8 WS Dual Socket C602 Chipset (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard £459.95
1 x Samsung 500GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE500BW) £289.99
2 x Intel Xeon E3-1220 V2 3.10GHz (Socket 1155) - Retail £158.99 (£317.98)
2 x Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit £89.99 (£179.98)
Total : £1,259.29 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Thanks for that mate! It's just that the new system is already built - like a refurb job with warranty and everything on it ready to go! If push comes to shove I can always take the 8800GTX out of mine and swap it over?

It's just whether if I'd notice a difference between mine and that one?
