Keeping a bonsai tree

Sup,

Today I have developed the strange urge to keep and grow a bonsai tree in my room. Not really sure where it came from but the more I research the notion, the more I like the idea of it.

Pretty gay but nevermind.

Anyway, I've been looking around and like this one:

I made this thread to ask if anyone else has any experience growing a bonsai tree indoors and if they have any tips. Particularly tips about whether the tree I like is suitable for a first timer and how difficult it will be to keep it alive.

I had one, but it died at uni due to poor conditions to keep it. Too much draft and not enough sun light.

I can never get the wind-reflectors and the little mirrors positioned right to get snow and glaciers to form on my Bonsai Mountain

Any Advice?
