I've spent a lot of time sorting my iTunes out, I didn't realise until now that when you add a folder to the library it doesn't scan it for "new" music next time you add some, you have to do it mannually, bloody stupid.

I have one music folder on my 2nd hard drive, within that I have all my albums etc. Thats the only folder I add to iTunes to get everything via file/add folder to library.

Anyway, a couple of googles and I see people have work arounds.

Can anyone one recommend me a good one or what do you use?

iPhone 2.0.2
MS XP
iTunes 7 (7.7.1.11)

Apple assumes the *only* places you get music are via CDs Ripped with iTunes or the iTunes Store.

I guess in their defence there aren't many other sources you can legally get music...

Set iTunes to auto sort and to import to its own library, then when you add new music, drag it into iTunes, let it copy it into its own library, then delete the original files.
Job sorted. :).
