Hi all,

Is there a way to do this? When I go away from my desk I like to lock my mac for security, but the screens time out after a while and waking them up again takes a while (doesn't like waking up 2x 4k external displays it seems)

Is there a way to lock my mac and stop the screens turning off?

Thanks

System Preferences
Then if it's a desktop, go to Energy Saver and you have the option there to turn the display off after a set period of time.
If it's a laptop, go to Battery and then Battery on the left side and the same option is there.

Unfortunately I've already done this - that keeps the screen on when the laptop is unlocked. But not when I have locked it and it is showing the lockscreen...

If you've got homebrew then KeepingYouAwake works, otherwise i've read (never tried this personally) the Amphetamine app (on the App Store) prevents screen turn-off on the lockscreen.

Set turn screen off to a long period, turn screensavers on and then require password after screensaver to immediately.

Screens stay on for me?

Not been able to try this until now as I've had multiple repairs done on the Mac! But this works a treat thank you!
