Hi, on my old router every time i booted up a machine it had the same ip address on the local network such as 192.168.0.3 or whatever. On my new router (Netgear DG834N) every time i boot up a machine the ip changes. This is kind of annoying as I have set up firewall rules in the router specific to each machine. Is there any way I can stop the local IP from changin each time? I think it might be something to do with the DHCP settings but not sure on it. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

why dont you just set the ip manually on the computer - saves a lot of hassle, thats what I do :)

think i got it sorted - something called an address reservation table? it links up an IP address and binds it to a MAC address i think. Cheers for the help
