Just had a call from Three and apparently my contract ends next month and they have offered me another 12 months on the same price plan (£60pm £30 first 3 months) on the 6280. I agreed and I also asked to keep the same N0. I expect the package to arrive next Tuesday and I am being charged 7 quid for delivery charges  but what I wish to ask is when the phone arrives do I just put my old sim card in the new phone or is it a new sim?

What you've done is called an "upgrade". Because you're nearing the end of your contract, your service provider has offered you a new phone and a 12 month "extension" on your contract. You keep your old SIM card and phone number, but you get given a new phone which means you are free to sell on the old one if you wish, or keep it as a spare.

I take you were happy with the choice of phone they offered you? The usual practice with upgrades is they offer you a certain range of phones for free, or you can pay a bit extra to upgrade to something a bit nicer/newer.

I asked them if they had any other phones particularly the N series. His reply was that they will not be offering any N' series of phones to three customers as these phones have major software problems . I am happy with the phone they offered me me as my missus has one of these and I think they are good despite the poor reviews it's had. I would have still preferred an N70 or an N80 though. Saying that he also said I have 14 days to change the phone or the service if I am not happy with it so If I can get a N70 I will pay a little extra.
