Keeping up with the Markles

The Guardian said:
The media has failed to learn the lessons of Caroline Flack’s death and must take responsibility for coverage of public figures struggling with mental health problems, the presenter’s mother has said.
But still some unthinking people tolerate and justify the spiteful and irresponsible campaigns of the likes of The Daily Mail and Piers Morgan

Haha I can relate to that when I went to Disneyland and ordered a hotdog and chips and my face when I got my order :o.

Reminds me of a time in the nineties, when a friend and his wife accompanied my wife and I on a holiday to Tampa FL.
We arrived at our rented pool house, unloaded the luggage and left the girls unpacking while we went in search of a bar.
I said to the barmaid, “Double Stoly please, rocks, no fruit, and a beer for my friend.”
She put the drinks on the bar, and said, “Anything else guys?”
My friend said, “Got any fags?”, and it all went quiet.

Look at the crime rates, either the statisticians are racist or some countries do genuinely have higher murder rates,I can't change this fact

Its got absolutely nothing to do with skin colour. It is about economics. I've lived in Zambia and Malawi. Life is cheap there. Mainly because they are very poor nations and there are lots of things that can kill you. Yes malaria kills thousands every year but it kills so many because they are poor nations. Crime is higher because they are poor nations, people deal with crime very differently, I saw a thief kicked to death on the street by a mob, that is unheard of here but when you have very little you value it even more and the police are sadly corrupt because they are paid a pittance. I also met some of the most genuine and generous people I've ever met there. People who would share with you what they have when they have next to nothing and help when they have nothing to gain from helping. In the end it all comes back to economics. You might say "well that's their fault, they should sort the country out", there is some truth to that but there are plenty of white men, especially Brits heavily invested in Zambia and fully abusing the corruption for their own enrichment so perpetuating the problem. Its not rocket science, find the countries with the highest average wage or wage to cost of living and you'll find the lowest crime rates. America being perhaps the outlier in those stats.

He posted those stats in response to a guy saying

If you're making those kinds of wildly wrong statements you clearly have no idea what the hell you're talking about so should probably just not be involved in the debate until you maybe do some research

Cool story bro, I guess if we ignore the evidence it will go away.

What's the difference between a white racist, a brown racist and a black racist. Absolutely nothing and being human are all just as prevalent.

It's true, those Glaswegians are a dangerous breed.

Blaming this stuff solely on race is lazy and dangerous and completely unrelated to wanting attack or defend Meghan in this thread.

Looks like it's starting to work. Meghan's plan to disintegrate the Royal Family from the inside is gaining traction.

In Australia, former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said it was finally time to sever constitutional ties to the British monarchy.

“After the end of the Queen’s reign, that is the time for us to say: OK, we’ve passed that watershed,” Turnbull told Australian Broadcasting Corp.

“Do we really want to have whoever happens to be the head of state, the king or queen of the UK, automatically our head of state?”

News Americas, which owns media outlets across the Caribbean, published an editorial calling on Commonwealth nations to “emancipate themselves from the mental slavery and the last shackle of colonialism.”

“If the Meghan/Harry tea spilling has revealed anything, it is the obvious racism that exists at the top of the so-called Royalist ticket,” the company wrote, noting that the local nations still in the Commonwealth are “where the majority of the population … are either black or brown.”

In Uganda, newspaper columnist Nicholas Sengoba said the Sussexes’ interview “opens our eyes further” and questioned whether the heads of Commonwealth countries should still be “proud to eat dinner” with members of the British royal family.

Idayat Hassan, head of the Centre for Democracy and Development in Nigeria — the Commonwealth’s most populous black nation — told the Times of London that Nigerians were “disappointed.”

“We are a proud nation and have always assumed the royal family were pro-African and we enjoyed the relationship,” he said.

“We assumed we stood at the same level as them, but it seems as though they have in fact looked down on us,” Hassan told the UK paper.

Asanda Ngoasheng, a South African activist on race, told the paper that he hoped the interview “makes us wake up and ask, do we need royalty?”

“The royal family led the colonialism/imperialism project. It should not be surprising to learn that they are racist,” Ngoasheng told the UK Times.

So that's it, according to major figures in Australia, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Jamaica and Canada, the Royal Family is racist.

Don't know how they can claw their way back from this one.

I still can't get my head around why nations thousands of miles away would want the British head of State as their head of State. It's frankly ridiculous. I don't even want the Windsors' as our head of State after the Queen snuffs it so why the hell would someone living abroad. You can all still be friends and have your own heads of State.

But it's not cause of the colour of their skin that they're like that. It's because they lack pretty much everything other nations have.

Yep. Its a mix of culture, wealth, racism, circumstance, climate, natural resources and many more things that determine a countries issue with crime, poverty and murder rate.

Its why I find it so frustrating when race is held up as the most important thing. Its always racism. We don't talk about the multi-faceted reasons that lead to black people still being over represented in the worst areas of society.
