Keeping up with the Markles

Wouldn't she just go for dual nationality after the 5 year visa period?

I'd guess so or perhaps even revoke her US citizenship

though it would be certainly be interesting if their future kids were US citizens too and one was to run for office in the US while also being in line for the throne...

We could yet unite the colonies back under Empire v2.0

The Daily Mail are very unimpressed that she's not British and not white. The mental gymnastics their writers are going through to balance this with the fact they love the Royal Family is delicious :D

Or Ralph.

LOL, I guess John Goodman is sort of ginger too.

That's nothing compared to the alt right/4Chan types... they already have this anti "race mixing" thing and some bizarre conspiracy theory that "the Jews" are behind it all (from the recent UK Christmas adverts to certain porn sites involving black men and white women)

then Prince Harry gets engaged to this rather attractive Actress with an African American mother and amusingly enough, it turns out the person who set up the happy couple is actually Jewish... thus the alt right all losing their **** over this :D

fortunately on the other hand the normal side of America seems to be very happy indeed for the couple :)

The arguments over whether they were allowed to run for office would be interesting too. I've just had a look at the USA constitutional requirements for their president and it doesn't explicitly rule it out even for their highest office. It's not really covered, though I'm sure the writers would have vehemently objected to it if they weren't long dead. But when it comes to legal matters in the USA, the written word of their constitution carries a lot of weight.

Arguments over the correct formal address would be interesting too. Senator Princess X? Prince Senator X? Which way round? Personally, I think "King President" sounds better than "President King" but what is the correct etiquette? Presumably it depends on which is the higher title, so more arguments there.

The boring answer is that it would be one title depending on context, like it is when a member of the royal family joins the military. So no King President :)

What does it matter what race or whatever she is, not like he’s ever got a shot at the throne even if it did matter
Technically speaking, he may be 5th in line to the throne, but as 3rd and 4th are both infant children of 2nd and therefore all three are together very frequently the chance of an accident/action (I.E plane crash, bomb) killing all three is possible. After which he would be 2nd in line with just a 70+ year old ahead of him.

Well, that's one way to get yourself put on a watch list. Children, bomb and killing all in the same post must hit one of the algorithms, oh look I've just found myself on it too.

Why do some many people complain about the expense of the wedding, when the crown estate pay more than ten times the amount it would cost to the treasury each year...

Them and us mentality? One has only got to look at the money it will bring in to see the cost is trivial.

I for one am very happy for them both - the amount of crap those lads have to continually live with, and Harry has really come of age and does a wonderful job supporting injured service personnel.
