They're "cashing in" on being Royals while not actually doing the work expected of being Royals, which is damaging to the Royal families credibility and the institution. But yes of course we just hate them because Megan is mixed race, even though she's smoking hot.
I did not say that, I said I have only really seen it reported in here and the DM. Not that the DM were the only ones to report it. And low and behold - the DM are approaching double digits in the number of articles about them - today!!!
Our Health Secretary acted unlawfully but Meghan and Harry making £1m and sitting down for an interview was bigger news. Says a lot....
You lot ever consider you may have been hoodwinked as to what to be annoyed at? This is the 7th largest thread on GD (page 1) and it's largely filled with vitriol and people who apparently know Meghan personally from some claims made.

Not really, I don't read the Daily Mail unlike you. I see they didn't want to be royals, they didn't want to the media attention so they moved to America for a quiet life. Fine. 5 minutes later, selling stories to Oprah and signing Netflix deals. You see the confliction?
Fair enough but it's almost exclusively the DM who are carrying this story. Most of the press reported it and then moved on. This wouldn't be nearly as big if they didn't continue their continued campaign. They are obsessed with them.
As I said before - how have ended up seemingly more annoyed at them than an alleged nonce who claims he can't be one because he can't sweat? Confliction vs spending a lot of time with a paedophile and sex trafficker, come on!!!!
Is it really that unreasonable the two of them wanted to get away from the likes of our rabid press, particularly the DM (for honest or dishonest reasons)? Look what that dreadful rag did the Kate (the 1km topless shot) and they like her.

it's always wrong to say "I'm not racist...". People will immediately suspect you of racism or will assume that you don't know much about it or at the very least they don't think about racism the same way you do.

I don't believe I said that, just highlighting their levels of scumminess (to those they deem acceptable and those they don't).

Fair enough - I didn't actually go back through your posts but I know that's been an argument that people defending her have made before. I apologise for the laziness and unfair implied accusation.
It does provide evidence against the claims that Harry and Meghan have been targeted though. I mean, they have, but only in line with what you'd expect given their status. Kate and William sucked it up and moved on. Harry and Meghan threw their toys out of the pram. I tend to avoid reading any of this crap in the media anyway and I agree that the whole industry is pretty scummy, but I am struggling to see why they're deserving of sympathy.

I am not sitting here thinking Harry and Meghan are saints, Harry did appeal to me slightly back in the days as he just seemed a bit more normal compared to the rest of his family (smoking weed and grossly inappropriate fancy dress spring to mind ). I guess my main grievance is with the DM - it seemingly doesn't matter too much if a celeb is in their good books as they vile behaviour continues regardless. But my gosh, the obsession and never ending stories is ridiculous. Look at Di and Kate, and I believe Harry and William have previously touched on how intense they can get (yes it's a unique situation to be in that fortunately none of us have to go through). It's no wonder they bolted, perhaps William and Kate are simply better at handling it - though I guess there is a bit more pressure on William to do so considering his position. I just think if the DM turned their attention to something else, this thread and the level of anger/disappointment/whatever you want to call it (in the press/UK) would be considerably smaller.
